    PERFORMING

Interested in Sharing Your Stagecraft With Us?

We are excited to be offering two amazing shows in the lovely Rose Marine Theater again this year. After receiving such great feedback this year we've learned that one of the most important things to our audience is great performances with a lot of diversity. So we are on the lookout for an amazing array of performers for our shows!!

We are looking for talented artists to create distinct and unique shows that encompass a wide range of styles and dancers. Our aim is to craft the best shows possible. We do not require performers to be "professionals"; however, we are looking for performers with a high level of proficiency in their respective style. We embrace the entire spectrum of dance at the 3rd Coast Tribal Dance Festival and welcome every submission from Dark to Light, Fusion to Folkloric and Egyptian to Experimental with a Theatrical flair.

We give preference to our event participants, people travelling from out-of-state, truly gifted performers, and those that can follow instructions.

Our selection committee will review audition submissions and send out offers to those that we feel would best fit our vision. There are always more applicants than space available and lack of inclusion does not indicate lack of appreciation in any way, shape, or form.

Here are a few basic facts to get everyone on the same page:

    1) Each show participant must support the event by attending at least 8 hours of classes during the 4 days of the festival. With 100+ hours to choose from...that won't be difficult!

    2) Each performer shall perform only once.
*** There can be an exception granted when 2 troupes are involved with a high percentage of difference in membership; i.e. low percentage of overlap in membership. Ask us. ***

    3) Audition videos are accepted until late August at 3c_show_divas[@]3rdcoasttribal.us More specific audition guidelines will be sent out to all those registered for classes in the coming months. Information is also posted to our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/3rd-Coast-Tribal-Festival/79474796606

    4) The shows will sell out. You do not need a ticket the night you are performing for performer Standing Room Only space at the back of the theater. IF you desire the 'guarantee of an actual seat' in the theater, please purchase a ticket.

Thank you for your cooperation, we look forward to crafting another great year of shows!

    With respect, 3C Show Divas

Got Skills? Would you like to write a review? Be a roving photographer?
Every year a few folks offer to write reviews and take pictures for national and local publications alike. These reviews give you exposure in the dance community as well as informing folks about your experience at 3rd Coast. Volunteers should have verifiable writing or photography skills and have a responsible work ethic. If you want to write a review of the event we'd also ask that you take at least 3 classes to get the flavor of the event. We require these to be submitted to us before the end of February. Once we get your submission, we will talk to the photographer who has photos that will go with what you wrote about, match them up and get them out to be published! Anyone writing a review or taking photos will be compensated with VIP Comp show tickets and much gratitude.

Saving Money and Making friends! Interested?
Would you love to come and make some new friends? Why not room-mate share with another traveler at the hotel or couch surf with one of the local folks? Post a little about you and what you are looking for on our tribe!
